My design background has been influenced by studies and travels throughout the rich cultures of Europe, India, and the Middle East. I mix this international approach with the Bay Area's unique Pacific Rim aesthetic, and can incorporate these many traditions in a fresh way. My wonderful clients reflect that breadth and diversity. Another perspective I bring to my 20+ years in Interior Design is that my first career was as a textile and fashion designer on 7th Avenue. dramatic, welcoming, and FUN. Every project is different because the solutions have to be so personal. As I see it, working with a designer should be a discovery of new possibilities for both my client and myself. We talk, I listen, sometimes we brainstorm together—it’s a very collaborative process. Because the core of the design always emerges from the truth of their lives, I need to understand their priorities, the functional, the financial, their entertaining style, the family-time, etc. When we click, the project goes forward with such freedom and creativity. My clients' lives are full and hectic—their home should be their personal haven and express their heart, their passions. |
